The task at hand here was to reduce some very large energy bills experienced by this pharmacy due to their high-energy consumption luminaires.
We made the following conversions:
35W Metal Halide down light – 30W LED down light (LANARK WHITE LANE8F30S-40K)
35W Metal Halide wall washers – 38W LED wall washer
2x28W Fluorescent troffer – 2x25W energy saving troffer (LANARK LANT225)
The pharmacy experienced a 42% reduction in energy consumption. That’s a saving of $550 a month, $6,600 per annum and $45,000 over an 8 year period (based on current energy costings). This doesn’t take into account the reduction of heat in the ceiling space and therefore less loading on airconditioning costs.
